no doubt i sponsor my girlfriend.  
she started playing wow before me, i learnt much from her.
in time; she ll get used to new raids and guildies and ll be an imba mage.

off topic but i thought best time to ask, with this rule and the fact you cant be sponsored by officers.

Does it leave many people who can sponsor you?

Yup it does. And in cases where it *is* a problem - we do exceptions.
