Since the launch in April 2007 MoX is active in LOTRO on the [EN-RP]Laurelin server under the kinship name The Shadows.

We like roleplaying from time to time mainly done as the opportunity arrises.
We support each other and help each other out if requested, in addition to more organised events where we will try to fill as many kinship fellowships as possible. We also like to engage in PvMP (both Creep and Freep), but above all we play to have fun! If this is the sort of gameplay you like, then read on.

• Have fun playing LOTRO. MoX will aim for any end-game content available but will not let the game-fun & experience suffer from it. Play your class and role. We will help you if needed but most of all, play it to enjoy yourself.
• Teamplay first is a motto of MoX in any game that we are in. Solo you can make a rimple in a game, together, we can make waves that will make the shores of Evendim tremble.
• Membership is open to any person of 18 years or older. MoX has been in existence close to 10 years with past lives in Ultima Online, DAOC, Planetside and current lives in FPS and WOW. We have matured a bit and so have we as guild.
• MoX is a multi-gaming community. When you become a member of the MoX kinship, you are expected to register on the MoX forum (www.moxguild.com). There is a two weeks trial period in which we want to get to know you and we want you to get to know us. After two weeks you need to apply for full membership. At that time you will be granted access to the inner-forums of MoX. If you become a MoXie, you are one for all games.
• When you joined the kinship, not only be fiendly to kinship members, but also to the outside world, as you represent MoX too, carrying the kinship tag. We expect you to behave well towards kinmembers and non-kinmembers alike.

• When you get full membership use the forums. They may hold useful links and helpful information. You can ask questions to other members there as well or discuss LOTRO matters.
• The kinship channel is there for a reason. Try to use it, we won't bite you.
• As soon as you join enter your forum name (so register as soon as possible) into the player note (press 'O' for the social panel, go to the Kinship tab and click "update player note"). This way everyone can get to know who you are on the forums as well and you know who the other members are, when you browse the forums. To see the others' notes click a few times on the "play icon" next to "Location". It will show join date and player note.
• Officers are recognisable with the red banner in the Kinship list, in the social panel. The Leader, the LOTRO head Captain, will be recognizable by a crown icon in the same list. If there is anything that's bothering you or have a question, contact any of them by in-game mail, by tell or you can start a thread in the LOTRO subforum

The Shadows (EN-RP Laurelin):

Now that you have read about MoX and the recruitment procedure, you might want to know more about the Kin:

The  MoX members doesn't bear the usual MoX tag as their kin name in LotrO.  Instead the MoX branch of LotrO is known as The Shadows.

This is  because of some historical reasons. 13th of February 2008 The Shadows  and MoX decided to join forces to grow in numbers and a merge took  place. It was decided that the current members of MoX in LotrO were to  join The Shadows kin. It was also decided that The Shadows were to come a  part of MoX and all the old members of The Shadows were offered a  full membership of MoX after some time.

The Shadows is one of  the oldest active kins on our server, Laurelin. The Shadows were  established at the launch day like the original MoX kin. We are as MoX  rules say 18 years + and a mature, friendly Kin. Some of us have been  around from the start, but we also have members that are new to LotrO,  and we have characters of all levels and classes and all classes and  levels are welcome. However as we see ourselves as a close-knit group of  friends, we prefer that people have all their characters in our Kin  (with only a few exceptions for heavy rp).

We see ourselves as a  casual raiding Kin, which means that we do end-game content, but at our  own pace. This includes not only raiding, but of course also various  instances, and sometimes we do old content such as Rift just for  fun/friday night drunken raids etc. We also have a group of friends (non-Kin) called Friends of the Shadows, that we group up with, and that have a sub-forum for in the private MoX forums for scheduling events and keeping in touch. We  also have regular kin events (they range from riddles and quizes to  meeting up for a game of hide n' seek), participate in rp-events from  time to time, and we have the fantastic music band The Shades. You can  read more about the Shades here: The Shades Public Forums   We have a lovely Kinhouse in Falathlorn that is used for kinevents  sometimes, and we have shared kinhouse chests for items that we want to  give away and/or share. Most  importantly, we're a group of people who want to have fun together, and  really enjoy and explore all aspects of the game, in our own pace and  at our own terms
