A LOTRO application from Chiran, Captain

Hello everyone, I'm applying for the LOTRO kinship with a Captain called Chiran, from Rohan (of all places). I'm sure he is eager to get back to his homelands after war and adventures have kept him away for so long.

The guy behind Chiran is me, a 30-something guy from Finland. My history with Lord of the Rings and RPGs is quite long now that I think of it. After reading LOTR in my early teens, I've probably read it 8 times now over the years, mostly in English. As well as reading many other Middle-Earth books, I used to play MERP and Rolemaster (also set in Middle-Earth) pen-and-paper games with some friends of mine. So it was only natural that I started LOTRO right in the beta and have been a lifetime member since. Over the years I've also played many many other games in the genre, but LOTRO has been with me the longest by far.

Other than that, I work in the IT industry (focusing on television related things), and my favorite past times are gaming, movies, music, and well fiddling with computers in general. I'm a former semi-pro musician (guitarist), but then the band activity dwindled and nowadays I'm a bit rusty with the 'axe' :-/. But still, music is a great driving force in my life.

Getting back to topic of LOTRO, I used to run a kinship with a group of friends for a few years and we were quite enthusiastic about raiding, tackling everything from The Rift way back to Ost Dunhoth. But I think I'm taking it all quite casually nowadays. I do enjoy instance content and some light roleplaying can be fun occasionally. I've also written some plugins for the game. I haven't been too active in the game lately for many reasons, but with Rohan now, I expect to visit it more often.

Previously I've been involved with our own kin, but after that kin disbanded several months ago, I've been looking for a new home. I've met some people from the kinship over the years and it's always been a pleasant experience. For the most part, I'm just looking for nice people to share the game with and The Shadows seems like a friendly place.

Finally, I have read the MoX Charter and agree too abide by it.
