[WoW] Holy Priest.
« on: 05 December, 2011, 03:48:25 pm »
ABOUT YOU:

Applications type (Social/Raider): Raider.
Raider.
Name:
Casper.
Age:
I am 19 years old, turning 20 the 31th march.
Country:
Denmark.
What other games apart from WoW do you play?:
WoW is the only game I play basically every day, however when I feel like playing some of the older games like Warcraft 3 and Diablo 2, I’m doing so. Besides WoW, Diablo is the game I have played the most.
A bit about yourself:
My name is Casper as mentioned above. I live in Denmark and I go to college. In my spare time I play in a band, I sing and play guitar, I play badminton, workout at the local gym, hang out with my friends and/or my girlfriend. And of course I am playing World of Warcraft! I consider myself to be a very social guy, with a good sense of humor and a strong will. If I want something done, it usually ends up that way. Besides that, I am very comfortable and patient, and always willing to help, talk or do something crazy. I’m studying psychology and I find that very interesting, however my main dream (and goal) is to be able to live from playing music. Enough about me, let’s go to Ultimatôr.

ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER:

Armory Link:
http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/grim-batol/Ultimat%C3%B4r/simple

Character name:
Ultimatôr
Class:
Priest.
Level:
85.
Current server:
Grim Batol.

Spec(s):
Holy main spec and Shadow off spec. I have played holy since The Burning Crusade and I basically only use shadow for dailies (however last night I thought to myself that I might as well gear it up as well)
Professions:
Alchemy 525
Inscription 525
Cooking 525
Fishing 525
Archaeology 482
First Aid 208
How often do you play WoW (typical weekly playtime and which hours)?:
Monday and Tuesday I play around 14 pm till 23-24 pm (with break from 18-19).
Wednesday I usually don’t have time.
Thursday I play from around 15 pm till 23-24 (with break from 18-20).
The weekends I usually play a lot, but there’s no certain times.
What high level alts do you have?:
85 Hunter
81 Mage
80 Death Knight
76 Shaman
ABOUT YOU AS PLAYER:

Do you have Teamspeak? (Voice communication is essential to our raiding and it's highly recommended you get a mic if you don't have one already):
Yes I have both teamspeak and a working mic.

List the relevant raiding add-ons you use:
Grid
Deadly Boss Mods
Omen
Recount (don’t know how relevant this one is though)

We expect all members to attend any raids with food and flasks to last the whole raid night and being repaired and ready to pull at 20.00

Our Raid times are from 20:00 to 0:00 server time with invites starting at 19:30. On which days will you be available for the whole duration? (A raidgroup usually only raids up to 3 nights a week)
Wednesday: Negative.
Thursday: Positive (however I won’t be home till’ 19.40 or something)
Friday: Might be positive, depending on the week.
Saturday: Might be positive, depending on the week.
Sunday: Positive
Monday: Positive
Tuesday: Might be positive depending on the week.
The thing is, I have a job in my spare time as well. What I mean by depending on the week is my shifts. However it is not as unorganized as it seems on the list above. If I am able to make it Friday night, I won’t be able to make it Saturday, and if I am there for Saturday, I can’t show up at Friday. There won’t be any weeks where I can’t attend at all.

Have you been in another guild? (Yes/No):
Yes, however not lately (I just got back to WoW 2 months ago, and I’ve been trying to gear up till’ I could finally apply to a raiding guild again.
Which one(s)? And why did you leave?:
I was in Blazt and one day I logged on and guild message said ”Guild is no more”. So I left. Then I joined a social guild where no one is speaking, which I am still in.
Please list your relevant raid experience, stating which encounters you have personal experience of at the current level cap:

My peak time regarding raiding was in Wotlk. After Wrath I quit for a few months and I joined in again at Firelands start where I have downed 5 bosses and Shannox on heroic. I have cleared BoT as well, and killed Nefarian. Besides I have killed the first 4 bosses in the Dragon Soul Raid.
IMPORTANT:

Now when you are done with the "basics", we want you to explain a little about different aspects of your character.

Character:

Why did you chose the class you are now playing and the professions you selected?:
Well no big thinking. My priest was my first character. I got into the game in 2007 I think and I actually wanted to make a warlock, but my friend told me to go for a priest, because then I could heal as well as dealing shadow damage. Since then I just stick to it, and it has been my main forever, never giving him up. I have always been holy (besides leveling and the first few level 80 levels.) and I seem to enjoy that spec over the two others (which I  know how to play properly and can if you want me to),and if you ask me that is what any game is all about – having fun with what you’re doing. And holy makes it fun for me to be a priest. I chose my professions in Wrath of the Lich King as well. First I had Herbalism and Alchemy, but I ditched herbalism to get a profession with more benefit (the shoulder enchant from inscription and the fact that I could make my own glyphs). And alchemy I use to create my own flasks and potion as well as selling some on AH (and of course putting some in the guild bank). And of course the buff I got from alchemy (increased time on flasks and elixirs)and the trinkets Is great benefit as well.
Talent specialisation:

Would you be willing to change your build for the guild?:
Of course, any time.
Do you have two viable PvE speccs?:
Yes they are both intended for pve and I do believe that they are usable, both of them. If you disagree then I can always re-spec and make them the way you want them.

Gear:

Do you feel your character is sufficiently geared to compete in the Dragon Soul encounters?:
Yes I do. All of my gear is 378 except my alchemy trinket, but as soon as I get something better it will be replaced. Not that I feel a rush to replace it though. It seems to me rather good for what I am doing.
Where do you think your current equipment is lacking now?:
Well since the gear Item level has been increased slightly, none of my gear is the best I can get, but that is something I am working on all the time (I can’t get more gear from the 3 new dungeons, and I’m valor capped for now). But my trinket with item level 359 is my worst item.
Guild:

Do you know anyone in MoX who can vouch for you?:
Unfortunately not. I came to this server because a friend of mine is playing here, but I have been having a hard time finding a guild (because they are all Portuguese) and I gave up for a while and started leveling alts, so I haven’t got the chance to talk to that many on the server.
Why do you want to join MoX?:
I am looking for a social yet serious raiding guild to enjoy my evenings with. I haven’t been in a raiding guild for a while and I have been longing to get back to raiding, and I have the feeling that you are what I seek. A guild that is fun to be in and are having fun during raiding, because making progress and killing bosses is fun and not because it is unserious.
What type of guild are you looking for?:
Well I basically said that above. A social yet serious raiding guild that are fun to be in and fun to be around.

What are your goals in wow, what do you want to achieve and how long do you plan to keep playing?
Well I will buy Mists of Pandaria when it comes out, and I’m gonna play till it comes. I just want to be in a guild I can rely on, and have the guild feel like they can rely on me. I don’t have goals in that manner, I’m just looking for some good times.

Additional Information:

Confirmation that you have read, understood and agree to abide by the MoX Charter (Yes/No):
Yes sir, yes.
Is there anything else you feel is relevant to your application or that you would like us to know?

No :)

Hello, and thank you for your apply!
You are abit under the haste cap for the extra tick of renew as you need 12.50% and your on 12.05% I would also suggest that you get yourself glyph of renew as it's really good for a holy priest. The spec looks good and statwise you look good, except for that one bit on the haste! ( If you feel like that extra tick is neccesary )

And on the experience 4/8 which is okay and it's good that you have atleast 4 down.
Did you do it in LFR or in a guildrun as the difficulty of Normal runs is abit higher.

Anyways, I'll discuss it with my fellow officers!

Big thanks to i4ni @ mmo-champion.com

Hi thanks for the fast reply!
- I know about the haste cap, however I forgot to do something about so thanks for reminding me! I did it in a pug since I haven't had a guild since Firelands came out (where I downed the 5 first bosses)

Hey Ultimator,

Thanks for the quite extensive application :) and sorry for the late response!
I've discussed our healing situation with the other Officers and although one of the healing priests is still on trial, I'm afraid we don't have room for another healing Priest at this time.
If anything changes and we'll be needing another Priest for one of our healing teams, we'll be sure to let you know!

Thank you for your patience and good luck finding a guild that suits you!
