What high level alts do you have?: My highest Alt is 85 lvl holy Paladin atm but on an other Realm.

Yes, I do have Ventrilo and TS, which ever you prefer. I also have headphones with a mic.

We expect all members to attend any raids with food and flasks to last the whole raid night and being repaired and ready to pull bosses at 20.00

Our Raid times are from 20:00 to 0:00 server time with invites starting at 19:30. On which days will you be available for the whole duration? (A raidgroup usually only raids up to 3 nights a week)

If so: Which one(s)? And why did you leave?: I migrated from Dunemaul (EU) and went to the "Wipe Faster"-Guild. It unfortuanetly disbanded, so I looked for some good guilds with HC progress, but couldn't find any good raid atmosphere or progress. ATM Im in "United Force" bc a friend told me join them, but their progress is very low.

Now when you are done with the "basics", we want you to explain a little about different aspects of your character.

Character:

Why did you choose the class you are now playing and the professions you selected?: I chose this character bc i like to play mele dps and a DK does very good damage and takes less damage bc of wearing plate armor. I think every raid needs a good DK.
For the professions I chose BS bc it gives me the advantage of 2 Sockets as a bonus with 2 more Gems. For the second profession I unfortunately Mining, but I am replacing through engineering bc it not only has the bonus of repair bot  it also increases my Strength.

Talent specialisation:

Would you be willing to change your specialization for the guild?: yes, I would if needed. But i have to say im better at Frost 
Do you have two or more specs you know well enough to use in a Raiding environment?: For raiding Im experienced in Frost/Unholy not so well in Blood, but it is nothing i cant learn   

Please list any talents and glyphs you switch out for certain fights:
I dont change any Glyphs atm for the raids, they are good for all of them so far. The only talent I change is at Feng HC bc there I use Gorefiend's Grasp instead of Remorless Winter. I only change in between this too talents, where ever one is needed.

Gear:
 
Do you feel your character is sufficiently geared to compete in the encounters of the current Heroic tier? (and if not, what is your character sufficiently geared for?): Recently my gear is enough for MSV HC completely and HOF I would say the first 2 bosses.

Where do you think your current equipment is lacking now?: Head is just 489, there Im lacking. The other items are okay in my opinion

What stat-priority do you currently use (both secondary and primary stats, especially for tanks and healers), when gemming, enchanting and reforging your gear? (for both your main and off-spec): As a Frost DK im using Haste Gems, bc Im using a 2h build so I need more haste. As the second priority im using Crit and after that Mastery. My Expertise and Hit are both capped at 7.50.

Guild:

Do you know anyone in MoX who can vouch for you?: Unfortunately not.
Why do you want to join MoX?: Because this guild has a very good and stable progress for just raiding 3 times per week, knowledged player and a good raiding atmosphere i hope

What type of guild are you looking for?: For a guild with a good Raidlead, knowledeged,experienced and nice player, who have fun raiding together and make a good progress and treating each other respectively.


What are your goals in wow, what do you want to achieve and how long do you plan to keep playing? So for now I dont even think about quitting Im just playing for nearly a year now and can't wait for the next content    I want to achieve as much as I can in raids, Im a PVE player so my recent goal is to clear all raids on HC until Patch 5.2. and then clear more hopefully.

Thank you for applying to MoX.
Application looks good, a couple of things I would like to know though.
Looking at the fact you've been playing this game for almost a year, how do you think you can keep improving as a player?
Also you're saying this is your last year at uni, will this affect your playtime? And what are your plans after uni?

With regards to gear/armory I cannot say much, since I'm not playing a DK myself, however:
 - You say you are gemming haste because you play 2-handed, would it not be better then to gem +320 haste gems instead of +60 str, +160 haste gems? According to www.askmrrobot.com you are able to gain almost 5% more melee haste if you redo your gemming/reforging.
 - Are you using any tools/sites to help reforge/gem optimally? As pointed out on Draxalor's app we think it quite important for our raiders to get the best out of their characters, so I would strongly recommend to research that a bit better.

I'll also ask our DK from another raidteam to take a closer look at your character, see if he is able to share some ideas/tips.

Hi Segev,

first of all thank you for your fast reply. To answer your first question, I think you can always improve as a player no matter how long you are playing. Because there are always more experienced player who can teach you to get the best out of your character. Yeah, i started playing WoW last year at about this time, but I have to admitt Im not a PVE player for one year. At the beginning I was just leveling and figuring out what this game was about think like everyone else. So, I really try to understand my character and everything else in Raids for about 6-8 month ago. So I am still improving, noones perfect ofc and Im very grateful for every help i get.

For my playtime attendance I dont think that my last year at University will affect my playtime too much. I mean I did not start earlier to play (although my BF wanted me to ) bc I had too much exams at the beginning. So now at the end I also have exams and my thesis but just a few (which I can handle) and my thesis and for writing it I have alot of time. Also Im honest I dont like to raid at a evening when I know the other day i have an exam. But since one year Im raiding and learned to fix everything so I have time for raids. Shortly: I will at least attendance 80 % of raids for sure.

After Uni I will first do my earned summer vacation:) means doing nothing, chilling and playing WOW. After that I hopefully will find a job and work, but I cant foresee where I am going to work, but in the evenings it should not be a problem to come to raids. I think then mostly I will just play WoW when raiding.

For the reforging: I have to say thank you and I will of course research this and will reforge. I just got the 2h before that I had 1h builds and there are differences in between the gemming and reforging. But this should not be an excuse I know, I will research better on this. I also plan to play 1h again, when I get the BIS items for that. But for now, this seemed the best for me.

Thanks for your quick response!
I remember one of our DKs telling me there are indeed differences in reforging and gemming between dual wield and 2 handed frost.
I'm currently looking at several DKs, all are close to fully Heroic geared, one is gemming the way you are, while the other one is going for full Haste, so I'm not saying it's wrong. I'm just wondering why two fully Heroic geared DKs would do it different. Any idea why?

sorry for taking so long to answer.

By gemming the way I are you mean excatly what? Because as you said I researched it and as I did my application I was gemmed for 1h. I changed it as I did my last reply maybe you couldn't look it up, but thats no problem.
If the one who goes full for haste he probablly has a 2h weapon. Because if you equip 1h builds you have to go for mastery more then for haste.
To illustrate you this with skills:

If you have a 2h weapon you need haste because you are dpsing more with "obliterate", instead of "Frost Strike". With the 2h weapon "obliterate" does better Crit than with a 1h equipped. Haste fulls your runes faster.


If you have a 1h weapon you need more mastery because you are dpsing more with "Frost Strike". It then does more Crit. And Mastery helps to increase your Frost damage more.

So hopefully I could now illustrate this better to you  But as I said I was still gemmed for 1h builds but now I am gemmed and reforged for my 2h build.

Yea I get what you mean with regards to the different gemming when switching from dual wield to 2handers, however between the DKs that are using 2handers there also seem to be different gemming styles on the armories of high end raiding DKs

btw that font is sexy ^^ just saying.

Yeah, everyone has a bit difference in gemming did they have exactly the same gear? bc if they have different items they have to do different reforging for their cap. So they may also gem a bit differently but for now i dont have a further idea why. Maybe i should see their armory to make up a picture.

I promised Tom I'd have a look and armory inspect is deemed ok 
(a 0.11% under exp cap  )

Though the glyphs like Dark Succor and Death Coil are personal preferences I see them as a DPS loss. The same goes for the AMZ talent. It only absorbs a max of 150K wich is nice if you are in it by yourself but as a RW it is overrated.

Prof wise: mining is not realy a raiding profession unless you are a Tauren Tank

I will have to slightly call you back there...

Even though in Cata I found Icy Veins to be great and helpful for my mage alt, and already a massive improvement over Noxxic, a lot of things there are to be taken with quite the grain of salt at times.

Of course, it differs on a class-by-class basis which sources are actually useful (MMO-C class subforums, EJ, IcyVeins, Noxxic, or other class-specific communities), so I would recommend using as much reliable resources as possible, on top of some simcraft if those numbers are deemed reliable for your class (I know for rogues shadowcraft is considered a lot better).
