Ok, Friday I couldn't get on Facebook. It was annoying, but I thought it would fix itself. The next day, my sister said she could not get on Facebook with her PC either. So I dug up another computer and tried that. Didn't work - several other sites also suddenly stopped loading. I don't understand what's wrong. We're all on the same network (I'm hardwired to the router). I guess it's something to do with the connection. But why do some sites work? I 'ping www.facebook.com' and got Request Timed Out.

I don't get it! I don't know if you have the answers, but any suggestions would be great!

Help me, Mox, you're my only hope.

I had a similar problem about a year ago. Resetting the router helped me sometimes but I had to buy a new one at the end.

We also have a subforum for tech problems. You might want to post there. I think you can expect more constructive posts there.

Could try resetting router - or a router to facebook is down - or facebook is down - or your machines have been hijacked by a virus and decides to point www.facebook.com somewhere else.

Most likely its a ISP routing issue where certain routes to targets are having problems.

You could download a traceroute program and run a check to see where it stops.

Just use the one in windows command prompt?

tracert www.google.com

check the host file to see if any noobs have added facebook.com to tha list..
