Having issues with Mumble!
« on: 04 August, 2011, 07:21:41 am »
So the long awaited transition to mumble happened yesterday. Is an ok voicecom but im having some issues with it.

I hear alot of cracking and robotic voices when ppl start to talk. I tried messing with the output latency but it only helped some.

My main problem is that mumble is screweingwith my normal game sounds and windows sounds. Yesterday i was listening to music on youtube, when i was done with said music listening and closed opera the sound from youtube hangs and i have to close mumble to get rid of the problem and restart mumble. I was able to reproduce this event 100% with youtube.

Anyone know what gives?
"Incoming fire has the right of way." | "Friendly fire - isn't."
"If at first you don't succeed, call in an air strike." | "Recoilless rifles - aren't."
"Sniper's motto: reach out and touch someone." | "Suppressive fire - won't."

youtube does some wierd stuff. bizarely the game beyond good and evil would have a bug on the pc where the sound would go out of sync with the images and having youtube in the background fixed that.
My guess, it's down to some sound setting or perhaps a codec pack if you have one. you could also see if disabling the overlay helps with your youtube issue as sometimes videos are displayed using directx.
