Endzeit, Elemental shaman.
« on: 05 March, 2013, 06:20:05 pm »
ABOUT YOU:

Applications type (Social/PvP/Raider): Raider.
Name: Kolbeinn Karlsson
Age:22
Country:Iceland
What other games apart from WoW do you play?:None
A bit about yourself:I'm a 22 year old welder from Iceland, currently both working and in school. I have been raiding since vanilla, so around 8 years ( on and off though )

ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER:

Armory Link:http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/twisting-nether/Endzeit/advanced

Character name:Endzeit

Class:Shaman

Level:90

Current server:Twisting Nether

Spec(s):Elemental

Professions:Herbalist & Alchemist

How often do you play WoW (typical weekly playtime and which hours)?:Well, pretty random really. But I play way more than I'd like to admit and I'd be online for all raids.

What high level alts do you have?: I have a 90 DK on Skullcrusher, a 85 druid on Skullcrusher, and a 90 warrior on TN, which has a bit better gear then my shaman.

ABOUT YOU AS PLAYER:

Do you have Teamspeak? (Voice communication is essential to our raiding and it's highly recommended you get a mic if you don't have one already): Yes I do, and I do have a mic as well.

List the relevant raiding add-ons you use: Grid, DBM, Recount, Omen.

We expect all members to attend any raids with food and flasks to last the whole raid night and being repaired and ready to pull bosses at 20.00

Our Raid times are from 20:00 to 0:00 server time with invites starting at 19:30. On which days will you be available for the whole duration? (A raidgroup usually only raids up to 3 nights a week)

Wednesday: Y
Thursday:Y
Friday:Y
Saturday:Y
Sunday:Y
Monday:Y
Tuesday:Y

Have you been in another guild? (Yes/No): Yes I have. I've been in loads of guilds since I've played since vanilla.

If so: Which one(s)? And why did you leave?:
The current one that's really relevant is Clique. It's a bunch of irl mates from Iceland and most of them hardly had any time to raid, so the ones that have interest in raiding are now trying to get into proper guilds for 5.2

Please list your relevant raid experience, stating which encounters you have personal experience of at the current level cap: Currently I've only cleared MSV and then everything except Empress / Sha. Including elite guardians.

Please link, if possible, any recent relevant logs (www.worldoflogs.com), so we can get an idea from your current performance in raids: We never really recorded anything when we raided so I don't really have anything.

IMPORTANT:

Now when you are done with the "basics", we want you to explain a little about different aspects of your character.

Character:

Why did you choose the class you are now playing and the professions you selected?: Well, my guild needed a caster so I rolled from my fury warrior to play the shaman. It was already 85 and I used to raid lead / class lead in Wotlk on this character ( Ulduar / TotGC / Icecrown ) The current professions are mostly because back in wotlk this was a real moneymaker and the 2 hour flask thing of course.

Talent specialisation:

Would you be willing to change your specialization for the guild?: Yes, but I'd prefer not to heal since it has never really caught my attention.

Do you have two or more specs you know well enough to use in a Raiding environment?:
Not really no, but it would take about 2 days to get the hang of a new one.

Please list any talents and glyphs you switch out for certain fights: I switch out the knockback on Tsulong, to knock back adds that get too close, and I take out the CL glyph on 1rst boss in MSV, but don't use it too much in case I get low on mana since I like to be able to toss out healing rain etc. if things get nasty.

Gear:

Do you feel your character is sufficiently geared to compete in the encounters of the current Heroic tier? (and if not, what is your character sufficiently geared for?): It probably is for MSV but nothing more I reckon.

Where do you think your current equipment is lacking now?: Well, everywhere really since I haven't gotten any raids in since MoP launched.

What stat-priority do you currently use (both secondary and primary stats, especially for tanks and healers), when gemming, enchanting and reforging your gear? (for both your main and off-spec): Well, according to SimCraft intellect weighs about 3/1 on haste / mastery so that's mainly what I stack. Haste outweighs mastery although it is debatable but  when I gem, I gem for haste / int ( always keeping the hit cap ofc )

Guild:

Do you know anyone in MoX who can vouch for you?:Well, I've talked to Emily a bit but I don't really know anyone that can vouch. I used to raid a little with you in TBC on my warrior Xenocrates on Grim Batol.

Why do you want to join MoX?:
You seem to know what you're doing and putting this much into a  application usually means that you're serious about what you're doing.

What type of guild are you looking for?: Semi-hardcore raiding guild with a casual atmosphere.

What are your goals in wow, what do you want to achieve and how long do you plan to keep playing?
I plan to keep playing as long as the game keeps putting forth challenges and the guild keeps a stable core that's fun to play with.

Additional Information:I did Kael'thas pre-nerf ! And Vashj is the best fight ever, no matter what you guys say :<

Confirmation that you have read, understood and agree to abide by the MoX Charter (Yes/No): Yes.

Is there anything else you feel is relevant to your application or that you would like us to know? I like puppies, alot.

Since our current resident ele shaman haven't made an appearence yet, i'll make a comment or 2 as a respond to your application.

As a former ele shaman myself the only  negative comment i can come with would be the herb proffesion. Other then that i can't see anything that could be optimised with the current gear set.

Things i would ask is for instance the offspec part. Since u don't seem to like resto, how about enha? And as ele how about EM Vs EotE? What do you think of those 2 talent choices with 5.2 changes, and with BL in the back of the head aswell.

I spoke to him in game.

Am I to assume he withdrew his app then?

I was told in game that I was only sufficient as a social member, and since I only play this for raiding - I got into another guild that wants me in their core group rather than as a social :) Sorry for the inconveniences I may have caused.
