A bit about yourself:  I am 27 live in a shitty pretty city with the wife and 2 kids and am very unfortunate to having my hobo of a brother living with me you may know him as necromaniac.  Currently working for the worlds local bank.

Do you have Teamspeak? (Voice communication is essential to our raiding and it's highly recommended you get a mic if you don't have one already):  Yes i have team speak and mic.

We expect all members to attend any raids with food and flasks to last the whole raid night and being repaired and ready to pull bosses at 20.00

Our Raid times are from 20:00 to 0:00 server time with invites starting at 19:30. On which days will you be available for the whole duration? (A raidgroup usually only raids up to 3 nights a week)

If so: Which one(s)? And why did you leave?:  Looking to leave as there is no orginisation - people are not prepared for the raids - no one is switched on enough tio watch videos to learn the fights and no one is able to learn from mistakes and take constructive criticism.

Currently got between my toons 6/12 ToT normal and 1/12HC
Full clear pre nerf of 5.0 raids.

Now when you are done with the "basics", we want you to explain a little about different aspects of your character.

Character: Hunter

Why did you choose the class you are now playing and the professions you selected?:  Started playing the hunter because they were so op at low level bg that it was just fun to run round in there raping people left right and centre and to rack up the HK.  It got to the point that i enjoyed playing it so much that i sat down for 2 days straight and power levelled ti from 70-90 and geared it ready for the lfrs.  I had played a healing class since wotlk  so was a nice change to raid as a dps.   I choose lw for the 500 agi on bracer and cheap leg enchants and skinning for the crit seeing as ccrit is now one of the most important stats in a  hutners make up.

Talent specialisation: Beast Mastery/ Survival

Would you be willing to change your specialization for the guild?:  Yes no porblblem i can play all hunter specs well as i have used each of them extensively in pvp.
Do you have two or more specs you know well enough to use in a Raiding environment?:  Yes
Please list any talents and glyphs you switch out for certain fights:    Of course each fight varies and requires different talents maybe not to maximise dps but to maximise survival like taking crouching tiger hidden chimera on jin rk hc to avoid the ionisation.

Gear:
 
Do you feel your character is sufficiently geared to compete in the encounters of the current Heroic tier? (and if not, what is your character sufficiently geared for?):  Id say my gear is nearly there for heroics just missing a few key pieces - it is definetly ready for 12/12 normal and hopefullly that will yield the few mising pieces i need.
Where do you think your current equipment is lacking now?:  i think i just need to replace some of the raid finder gear from toes etc
What stat-priority do you currently use (both secondary and primary stats, especially for tanks and healers), when gemming, enchanting and reforging your gear? (for both your main and off-spec):  Both specs seeems to be the same at the moment Crit> haste> mastery altho when u get enough haste from ur geare u go crit> mastery> haste.

Do you know anyone in MoX who can vouch for you?:  I raided with yourdelfs on jin rok heroic and even though i failied a couple of times on storm id like to think youd still vouch for me
Why do you want to join MoX?:  Looking for  guild that wants to make pregress to send end content but that also has fun doing it and when i raided with yourselves thats exactly how it felt.  You were quick on the pulls offered advice and didnt proportion blame
What type of guild are you looking for?:  see above


What are your goals in wow, what do you want to achieve and how long do you plan to keep playing?  Goal wise i want to see end game content again, im fed up of getting normal bosses only down so looking to to stay until blizz stops making raids.

Is there anything else you feel is relevant to your application or that you would like us to know?  I am applying on my hunter as i believe your hunter is stopping raiding however i would be happy to play on any class  or toon you would like.  Also love a bit of pvp so if theres an rbg team wouldnt mind jumping in on that as long as it didnt clash with raid times.

Hey Mr. Awesome Name,

When you were in our raid the other night, everyone seemed to like your name, so +3 points for you!

Anyway down to business.
We require our Raiders to have two crafting professions on their main toons.
Also you're missing an enchant on a cloak you've had for three days.

Then there is the discussion of Haste vs. Mastery, you're saying it depends on how much haste from gear you have before going Mastery.
While in fact when I discussed this with the last hunter that applied, my understanding was it's the other way around. Mastery > Haste untill you get RRPM trinkets. Once you have RRPM trinkets you want to go Haste so you have more chance of proccing them. Or so I was told.

Any thoughts on this?

Completely forgotten i hadnt enchanted the cloak - will do that straight away.

As for the whole arguement of haste vs mastery it seems to be one of those debates where there are huge arguemnets for going either way.  I will reforge now and sim craft both ways and see what the out come is.  When i looked at all of our friend ask Mr Robot he said that mastery is currently the worse stat for beast mastery and he has teseted it extensively.  But i will have a look at simcraft results now and see how it goes.  My first thought was crit> mastery> haste - being the fact that bm is all about the pet damage which is your mastery.  spoke to a few hunters on our realm and they said to go the mr robot way first as it seems to be right and if its not working for your play style to go the other way. 

But like i said ill simcraft both ways see what it says and will get back to you very shortly as soon as i got my 90 lesser coins. (10 to go)

Sim crafting it now seems to be taking an age to scale and plot though - while i was waiting read up a bit on forums looking for an outright decision between the both and there doesnt seem to be one hoping simcraft gives a definitive answer when it finishes.

Based on those results currently in My gear there is literally nothing between the 2 ways.  And so the the stat prio arguements continues.   Im sure that when i get in better gear there will be a clear winner but as of now  both seem to push out near identical dps.


As of the 2 crafting proffession requirement: - Skinning provides a 480 crit rating for myself.  Which as a main stat is an excellent benefit.

However i would consider changing it if i could see an increase in deeps.  As i do have every profession at max level between my toons.  And lots of 522 items to craft if youd like to provide the spirits

That indeed doesn't make much of a difference
As for the 480 crit from skinning, I don't think it will outweigh the 320 Agi you get from crafting professions, unless you value crit even higher than Fury Warriors

Anyhow I'm not going to force you to switch professions right now, because unfortunately for you, we accepted a Hunter on trial a while back who didn't know when he would migrate over to Twisting Nether. I've just received word that he will be joining our raids this week, so we really can't accept another Hunter trial at this time.

I will notify you if the situation changes and thank you for the time you've put into this application.

For now I have to decline this application.
