Title: Anonymous to attack facebook
Post by: Tinbum on 12 August, 2011, 12:47:01 am
just a heads up. I imagine their 3000+ members will just repeatidly try logging into facebook with the incorrect usernam/password and end up overloading the servers causing facebook to crash and thus restarting and loosing EVERYTHING. its no biggy if they do it, just means we all start again.

So just incase, start saving your pics.

Can't acces the video due to being at work....so why would we have to start again? I guess facebook servers are backed up, like any other server. Also, shouldn't the login servers be other machines than the one holding the actual data? So i assume u can't login for a day or so, got no other idea what could happen if its an actual DoS attack :S

Edit:Just watched the video and i lmfao, hilarious bullshit....best thing is that, IF someone will happen, they warned fb beforehand with plenty of time to actually back everything up. I follow common sense and label it as hoax, like everybody else ;)

Yeah, Facebook will know about this and prepare for an attack,  doubt any serious effects will become of it though.
