Welcome to The Shadows and MoX  I know I hijacked the two of you a bit, but I really hope you'll like it here with us, and remember, don't be afraid to ask if there is anything - questions or quests or so that you need help with  A little tip for filling out your post a bit more, is to click back to page 2 and so on in this subforum, then you can see other LotrO applications and maybe give curious Surma here a bit more info  I had a very nice chat with both Ingvill and Runor in-game before inviting them, so I hope you'll all give them a good welcome

An example would be: a little bit about your character(s), class, level, race, and also if you've played any particular games before (MMOs etc.) - and maybe a little bit about what you like to do in-game, have you raided before, rp'ed? (Hope this helps a bit). And then also just a confirmation that you have read the MoX Charter: http://www.moxguild.com/forum/index.php?act=boardrules (http://www.moxguild.com/forum/index.php?act=boardrules)

I will take the freedom to do this one now that we have a few officers on holiday and summermode

Your two week trial officialy begins now. Once the trial is up and if you wish to become a full member please remember to post back here or start a new thread requesting sponsors.

And thank you for the chat in-game this evening Runor (for all you curious people, there will be more info in the applications tomorrow  )

As I am an officer I can't sponsor you two, even though I certainly would have done so if I could   I've been chatting with you both a bit in tells since you joined, and  I'd very much like to see you as full members as you are friendly,  chatty and fun, and mature players, and I think you'd fit in very well.  As you've only gotten one sponsor so far, and that is probably a lot to  do with it being summer and a bit slow at the moment, we extend your  trials, so that you can get back in the game (I know you've been away on  holiday), and get to know the Kin a bit better, and then hopefully soon  get your sponsors  Hope you're enjoying the summer (even though the weather haven't been great, hehe), and see you back in-game soon!

Most of what I just said for Ing goes for you too Runor

You worked well together in a group and knew your character well (its hard to hold aggro off a rampant RK - so good job on the last boss and Thangulhad skirmy ) and sociable to boot

I think you would be a worthy addition to the kin

and just want to clarify once again for our members, in lotro we don't look at player skills / how good they play the game (and I am not saying you two wouldn't play good as I know you do).

The part we are interested of in new recruits is personalities so chatting with the new people is the most important part (that is the easiest in groups tho, but kin chat is as good as any) and how they behave. Don't be shy shouting your opinion if you got a good feelings (or bad as bad opinions are as important as the good ones .. bad feelings are better impressed straight to officers tho) about the people who need sponsors.

It's kinda lame to keep these two waiting. Just say if you like em or not and sponsor accordingly. We know it's been summer but the times change and these two deserve the answer already! (just a note: we haven't heard any bad words about them yet of what I know)

quite right Surm we don't sponsor kin people based on their skill - but that they (Ing and Runor) were very considerate players - and not shy about mucking in -great attributes for any kin member  ...its a compliment though that they happen to be skilled too

Totally agree Daimon!
This two recruits definetly deserves a place in The Shadows if you ask me. Is silly to loose two gems, because they don't get enough sponsors. And if this is going to be a trend, we will not have any new members in The Shadows

I don't know if people read forums, perhaps is because the Lotro section is quite silent? Or because many members has Summervacation still?
Anyhow every members in the Shadows have some of responisbility towards eachother. Also remember you once were sponsored aswell, and it does not cost a thing to sponsor, Is a bit give and take. Perhaps Daimon/or other officers remind people to read forums once in a while?

When I sponsor I have to be honest that I ONLY base my sponsoring on how I think they are as persons (are they mature, nice, social) I don't base it on how they are with questing/raiding and such. Reason is simple. I do not quest that much, I only RP and wanna chat with mature people. hehe. And Shadows is a mixed Kin. So it should explain it all..

I appoligise for not responding more. I must admit its because my lack of gametime and therefor my lack of talking/playing with our new recruits but i could have been more considered. Its like Achy said, we got sponsored ourselfs once and should not forget to return the favour by doing the same with the new people (if they deserve it!  )
