[WoW] guild application (enh shaman)
« on: 18 April, 2011, 07:21:04 pm »
Applications type (social/raider): Raider
Name: Banken Matthias
Age: 19
Country: Belgium
What other games apart from WoW do you play?: occiasionally on the PS3
A bit about yourself: Hum, Just your average guy I guess. I like football, going out, gaming and jogging. Right now i'm doing lawschool so I try to master my time as good as possible.

ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER
Character name: Warguard
Class: (Tauren) Shaman
Spec(s):Enhancement/ Restoration
Level: 85
Professions: Skinning/leatherworking
How often do you play WoW (typical weekly playtime and which hours)?: Depends on my schoolhours, but It's usually after 7 during the week. The average amount of time I spent on WoW is like 20 hours, give or take
What high level alts do you have?: Got an lvl 85 warrior, lvl 83 paladin, lvl 80 hunter and a lvl 80 druid.

Do you have Teamspeak? (Voice communication is essential to our raiding, although it is not required to have a mic): I've been using ventrilo for the past 3 years, but I'm sure there's nothing that a quick download can't fix.

List the relevant raiding add-ons you use: Right now, i'm using : Omen, DBM, Tidyplates, grid, clique(healing) and recount.

We expect all members to attend any raids with food and flasks to last the whole raid night.

Our Raid times are from 20:00 to 0:00 server time with invites starting at 19:30; are you able to be available for the whole duration?
Thursday: I occasionally go out on thursday, but shouldn't make that much of a problem
Sunday: yes
Monday: yes

Have you been in another guild?
Which one(s)? And why did you leave?

Panic, series of guilds in TBC, and House TekenDuis.
I'm leaving because me and the guild go back from all the way to the Burning Crusade and the people I used to play with have either changed guilds or quit. So I decided it was time for a change.

Please list your relevant raid experience, stating which encounters you have personal experience of at the current level cap:

BWD : 5/6
TOT4W : 1/2 (know tacts from al'akir
BoT : 4/4
(all is just normal mode though :( )

IMPORTANT:

Now when you are done with the "basics", we want you to explain a little about different aspects of your character.

Character:
Why did you chose the class you are now playing and the professions you selected?:

When I started playing I did abit of a read on all classes and shaman just came out on top. Rerolled mage after a bit, but quickly swapped back to my shaman.
Playing it for 3 years and still living the dream  :D

For professions; I just picked what seemed nice at that point. And so far, It's always been a decent way to earn the gold I need.

Talent specialisation:
Would you be willing to change your build for the guild?:

I guess so, even though I'm not fond of elemental at all

Gear:
Do you feel your character is sufficiently geared to compete Bastion of Twilight, Black Wind Descent and Baradin Hold encounters?:

Cleared 10/12 and currently gearing up my offspecc with badgegear, so I'm quite sure I'm ready  :p

Where do you think your current equipment is lacking now?

Dying to get some decent PVE weapons, forced to run around with the PVP one's till Iget lucky on trashdrops I guess.

Guild:
Do you know anyone in MoX who can vouch for you?

Talked to some people over the day about this guild, but doubt they can vouch for me  :)

Why you want to join MoX? What type of guild are you looking for?

I've been guildbrowsing over the past few weeks and you guys came up on top.
Right now, I'm looking for a casual guild that wants to get some progress, while not letting the fun of the game suffer for it.

What are your goals in wow, what do you want to achieve and how long do you plan to keep playing?

My goal is to progress contentwise, while having fun and that my social life doesn't have to suffer for it too much.

Additional Information:

Confirmation that you have read, understood and agree to abide by the MoX Charter: Yes/No

Is there anything else you feel is relevant to your application or that you would like us to know?

Since I'm doing lawschool at the moment, I just wonder how u guys feel over the fact that i prioritize my schoolwork over gaming?

Trial will be started as soon as you're invited in game, I like this application a lot, and after speaking with you yesterday, you sound like you'd fit in well, and have the same thoughts as us, progress-wise.

I'll look forward to seeing you with a MoX Tag :)

Feel free to whisper me when you're ready.

Ohh the order and tidiness :D

Seeing that you were the first of the new guys to make an application I must admit that I got very happy with my recruitment department to see this application tick in :)

I know you have joined but I've been a little away the last few days but that shouldn't keep me from saying good work and welcome ^^

Slowly taking over the Philippines.. gangnam style!

Gimhra - lvl 85 Priest .. THE priest, not like the rest of you wannabees! (feeling sligthly overconfident)

Great apply, and looking forward to raiding with you:) You are pretty much on our level in terms of progress (we were 10/12 2 weeks ago:P), so I think you'll have zero problems fitting in with us.
