[WoW Al'Akir] Tonuc - Hunter
« on: 03 May, 2013, 10:31:12 pm »
ABOUT YOU:

Applications type (Social/PvP/Raider): Raider.
Name: Mario
Age: 24
Country: Croatia
What other games apart from WoW do you play?:  Whatever is new and interesting (Don't Starve and Super House of Dead Ninjas now for example).
A bit about yourself:

I love music (metal mostly), anime, manga, TV Shows (Breaking Bad, South Park, Shameless, Sons of Anarchy etc.). Currently looking for a job.

ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER:

Armory Link: http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/alakir/Tonuc/simple

Character name: Tonuc
Class: Hunter
Level: 90
Current server: Al'Akir
Spec(s): Survival
Professions: Alchemy & Leatherworking
How often do you play WoW (typical weekly playtime and which hours)?: Can't give you an exact number on weekly playtime, but I mostly play in the evening and afternoon.
What high level alts do you have?: A rogue (90) and a warlock (88).

ABOUT YOU AS PLAYER:

Do you have Teamspeak? (Voice communication is essential to our raiding and it's highly recommended you get a mic if you don't have one already): Yes I do have Teamspeak and a working microphone.

List the relevant raiding add-ons you use: BigWigs, Skada, Weak Auras.

We expect all members to attend any raids with food and flasks to last the whole raid night and being repaired and ready to pull bosses at 20.00

Our Raid times are from 20:00 to 0:00 server time with invites starting at 19:30. On which days will you be available for the whole duration? (A raidgroup usually only raids up to 3 nights a week)
Wednesday: Yes.
Thursday: Yes.
Friday: Yes.
Saturday: Yes.
Sunday: Yes.
Monday: Yes.
Tuesday: Yes.

Have you been in another guild? (Yes/No): Yes.

If so: Which one(s)? And why did you leave?:

Worst Case Scenario - the guild was doing rather bad from early MoP, progress was slow and there were not enough people interested in joining the guild. Raiding became frustrating, guild ended up falling apart.

EndGame - doing 25 man raiding is more important to them than progress. There are people holding the guild back, slowing down the progress and making even some farm bosses frustrating to kill. A number of people simple don't perform on the level that Heroic raiding requires (not doing enough dps/hps, making the same mistakes over and over again). Also, my computer can't handle 25 man raiding that well, so I would prefer doing 10 man more.

Please list your relevant raid experience, stating which encounters you have personal experience of at the current level cap: Did all of the T14 raids on normal, with 9 of them on heroic. In ToT I cleared all bosses on normal, on heroic I killed Jin'Rokh, Horridon and Tortos.

Please link, if possible, any recent relevant logs (www.worldoflogs.com), so we can get an idea from your current performance in raids:

IMPORTANT:

Now when you are done with the "basics", we want you to explain a little about different aspects of your character.

Character:

Why did you choose the class you are now playing and the professions you selected?:

I like the hunter class, ranged, high mobility, can bring a number of buffs to the raid that might be missing, decent damage output.

I have taken Alchemy and Leatherworking for maximum agility buffs and extra time on flasks.

Talent specialisation: Survival

Would you be willing to change your specialization for the guild?: Yes.
Do you have two or more specs you know well enough to use in a Raiding environment?: I have played BM in the previous tier, so would have no problem playing as that. Haven't played as MM for a while, but could get used it with a bit of practice.
Please list any talents and glyphs you switch out for certain fights:

I take Barrage on fights like Horridon, makes it possible to hit the boss and the adds, while Glaive Toss can't do that all the time since it's position based, Barrage isn't.
At time take posthaste for Ji-Kun, the extra movements speed makes it good when no other speed buffs are used on downdraft.
I use silencing shot in case I have to be on interrupt duty, otherwise I use Binding Shot (tends to works on adds on a number of fights, making it a good AOE stun).

I use the same Glyphs all the time, no real reason to switch them out.

Gear:

Do you feel your character is sufficiently geared to compete in the encounters of the current Heroic tier? (and if not, what is your character sufficiently geared for?): Yes, I believe my character has good enough gear for heroic encounters.
Where do you think your current equipment is lacking now?: I have to much hit right now, so replacing items that have hit with items that don't have hit would help.

What stat-priority do you currently use (both secondary and primary stats, especially for tanks and healers), when gemming, enchanting and reforging your gear? (for both your main and off-spec):

Agility > Hit and Expertise till cap, after that crit > haste > mastery.

On heavy AOE fights I tend to reforge to mastery over haste since Serpent Sting scales with SV mastery.

The reason why I go haste over mastery as SV is because it scales with RPPM, and currently I have the T15 set bonuses, legendary meta gem, trinkets and scope that are all based on RPPM.

Guild:

Do you know anyone in MoX who can vouch for you?: Don't think I know anyone from MoX
Why do you want to join MoX?: A good raiding team.
What type of guild are you looking for?: Solid progress, nice raiding environment.

What are your goals in wow, what do you want to achieve and how long do you plan to keep playing? To clear current raid tiers. No plans on quitting.

Additional Information:

Confirmation that you have read, understood and agree to abide by the MoX Charter (Yes/No): Yes

Is there anything else you feel is relevant to your application or that you would like us to know?

Don't have anything to add. In case you need more info form me, just ask. Thanks for reading.

Hello Tonuc,

Thank you very much for your application. We're honoured that you choose Mox to apply to. I'm sorry to disappoint you for our HC raiding team. We have at the moment 13 raiders in our team, this is pretty much our dedicated team.
Note that this is the only reason I have to decline your apply for. Your skills and experience look very decent up to our level, same as your gear. If we were in the need of a hunter, we would offer you a trial right away!
However what we can offer you, is a social spot in the community but not any of the goals you mentioned(Solid progress, nice raiding environment) at this time,

As I think you want to follow your goals - Good luck in finding another guild. If you want to accept our offer for a social position feel free to whisper Vall(aka Swagelicios or Sillv) or me ingame.

Looking forward hearing from you

Regards,
Feelya
