Author Topic: [LOTRO Application] Riviel (Read 5737 times)

Greetings my fellow Middle-Earthlings,

I’ve played a few MMORPGs in my time, but I’ve only been sojourning in Middle Earth for about a month now and I would really like to join a nice kinship. I have met and talked with a few of your players online (mostly in the Prancing Pony so far!) and have really enjoyed out conversations.

My main character in game is an elf champion called Riviel, level 40-something now, supreme weaponsmith and horrendously lost somewhere in Angmar. As for her story, well, that is for her to tell you! I also have two alts, a minstrel and a hunter, but they are pretty young still.

In game, I really enjoy the beauty of middle earth and the RP aspects. I’m quite a fan of music (and have heard many good things said about your own band!) and am spending some time wrestling with my music software to transcribe some music myself – with mixed successes so far. I’m a social player and enjoy helping others. I’m one of those curious individuals who loves levelling and am refusing to use any buffs which would speed up that process. I sincerely value the friendships which grow in games, and as such, I’m not too bothered about the “pixels” (i.e. I could possibly be the least loot greedy person you’ll ever meet). I have raided in games before, although not in LOTRO (be warned, although I’m most happy to group, I have done so very little so far in game and could most likely do with a bunch of pointers!) and I’m here for the game experience and the social aspects mostly.

As for the person behind the screen, I’m based in the UK (although born in Germany and living all over the world). I’ve got a fantastic job which I love, but which can also be very draining. RPGs are a great ways for me to get away from it all, and although I love my life, I’m the first to admit that I’m also a great fan of escapism. I am sometimes on call when really rough stuff happens, but I would always let groups know if that’s the case and in reality, I rarely get called – thankfully!

I am the proud owner of the best dog and horse in the world, and spend much time out and about with them. I compete, occasionally, with my horse and train regularly. As such, I’ll disappear most days between 5 and 7 pm UK time, when I’m seeing to my beasties. =)
