WoW Rogue application
« on: 26 September, 2012, 06:58:27 pm »

Applications type (Social/PvP/Raider): Raider.Tamtoe team to be more precise :)
Name:Koen
Age:23, almost 24
Country:The Netherlands
What other games apart from WoW do you play?: Usually i play some shooters/rpg's that are out there at the moment. Currently I have been playing guild wars 2 and used to play Diablo 3 aswel.
A bit about yourself: I am a student in Business IT & Management currently in my final year of my bachelor wich means I should be graduating this january!
Besides playing video games I like to go to the gym and go mountainbiking though I do prefere good weather even though riding through the mud can be very satisfying :D.

Armory Link:http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/chromaggus/Gnuro/simple

Character name: Gnuro
Class: Rogue
Level: 85
Current server: Chromaggus
Spec(s): Combat/Assa
Professions: Engineering/Alchemy
How often do you play WoW (typical weekly playtime and which hours)?:
What high level alts do you have?:
Gnuko = 85 paladin
Chetigot = 85 mage
Gnuche = 83 warrior

ABOUT YOU AS PLAYER:

Do you have Teamspeak? (Voice communication is essential to our raiding and it's highly recommended you get a mic if you don't have one already):
Ofcourse :)

List the relevant raiding add-ons you use:
TukUI with bossmods, classtimers.

We expect all members to attend any raids with food and flasks to last the whole raid night and being repaired and ready to pull at 20.00

Our Raid times are from 20:00 to 0:00 server time with invites starting at 19:30. On which days will you be available for the whole duration? (A raidgroup usually only raids up to 3 nights a week)
Wednesday: 19:00 - 23:00
Thursday: 19:00 - 23:00 if needed prefered not.
Friday: Beer night
Saturday: Beer night
Sunday: 19:00 - 23:00
Monday: 19:00 - 23:00 if needed prefered not.
Tuesday: 19:00 - 23:00

Have you been in another guild? (Yes/No):
Which one(s)? And why did you leave?:
Vanilla: Deck a dwarf, my first guild no real raiding.
Vanilla: Ignore list -> went into Paranoia. Left them in TBC because of different opinions with other officers.
TBC: Summy & Qummy, joined them because a friend of me was in it and i was looking for a real raiding guild
TBC: Nada, left them in the end of SWP because i wanted to see the rest of SWP before WOTLK came.
WOTLK: So What , a guild on dunemaul, left them because i had a wow break.
WOTLK: Hotfixed, they migrated to vek'nilash
WOTLK: Adjective
Cata: Prime II  with the best gm in the world :P

Please list your relevant raid experience, stating which encounters you have personal experience of at the current level cap:
During vanilla wow:
In vanilla wow I started playing in april 2006 wich was a bit late so i was behind on the lvling and playing at that time.
When i dinged 60 i started tanking dungeons and geared up later to be the MT and warrior CL of an MC guild.
As tank ive cleared MC and ZG as being the Mt but we never really got up to BWL since we lacked people willing to keep trying there since it was near
the end of vanilla anyway.

During TBC:
During tbc I rerolled a paladin in the same guild my warrior was in at the time. When I was done lvling and we were raiding karazhan there started
to be different visions within the officer group wich greatly differed from what I had in mind for tbc so I left the guild to join a friends casual pvp guild.
In that guild i did some gruul and didnt really go much further. But at that time one of the oldest and better guilds of the server were recruiting a holy paladin
so i gave it a shot, and to my great amasement i actually got accepted as trial. Eventually their current paladin CL had to stop playing due to IRL issues and
i was then picked as their new paladin CL.

In Nada ive cleared most things of tbc up to 2/5 SWp. The guild then fell apart because of the summer and alot of the core members quiting the game.
I then migrated to dunemaul, cleared SWP leveled to 80 and quit the game when we cleared naxxramas.

During Wotlk:
I then decided to give the game another go again during the summer but i then noticed most guilds didnt need a holy paladin. After migrating my holy paladin back to chromaggus
I started leveling my mage wich then became my main character during the end of ulduar and toc/icc. However due to some unforseen school issues i couldnt keep up the raid
attendance i wanted to so I decided that it was best for me to be demoted to friend rank.

During Cata:
In the beginning of cata I was playing as a mage because that was the class i would like to play again during cata.
Unfortunately during the progress of BD and BoT we had 3 mages in total wich was just too much. And since we needed
a rogue for Valiona & Therallion anyway I decided to pick up my rogue alt and get some gear going.Thats why I started
as a mage but ended cata as a rogue.
BD untill 5/6 HC
BoT 1/5 HC on my mage 2/5 HC on my rogue
TFW 1/2 HC on my mage
FL 6/7 HC on the mage
During DS is where the guild started falling apart. The encounters were just... well
So I only did 1/8 HC during DS. Have attempted hagara and some other bosses but never downed them

Please link, if possible, any recent relevant logs (www.worldoflogs.com), so we can get an idea from your current performance in raids:
There are no current relevant logs I can link to, they are all over a year old so they are of no meaning at this point or whatsoever.
I do like to strive for ranked spots during fights all the time. During my time in Prima II I kept logs of all the WOL's and uploaded them.
This was an extra fun factor for me to wow. The racing of the dps and always trying to perform just that little bit better than last time.

IMPORTANT:

Now when you are done with the "basics", we want you to explain a little about different aspects of your character.

Character:

Why did you chose the class you are now playing and the professions you selected?:
Well I have a history of switching classes when the guild needed them so I have played some different
characters as mains during my wow  'career' but currently the rogue is the one I really like.
I have always loved melee characters, even though I played a mage for quite a while, starting with my warrior
then the paladin (as ret, holy and prot) and now the rogue. Sneaking up on people and dishing out massive amounts of damage
while being glued to the target is just too sweet to play a ranged class.

Talent specialisation:

Would you be willing to change your build for the guild?:
Ofcourse, there is no reason not to.

Do you have two viable PvE speccs?:
As of this moment yes, I do pvp from time to time but assa and combat are my main specs

Gear:

Do you feel your character is sufficiently geared to compete in the Dragon Soul encounters?:
I do believe this is an outdated question but it would have been sufficient yes.
Will farm the gear needed to get into raids for MOP ofcourse.

Where do you think your current equipment is lacking now?:
Its the MOP start, im quite sure its lacking in all departments :D
What stat-priority do you currently use (both secondary and primary stats, especially for tanks and healers), when gemming, enchanting and reforging your gear?:
The new prio for MOP is probably gonna be :
Combat : Agility > Exp/Hit(Up to 7.5%) > Haste > Mastery > Crit
Assa: Agility > Exp/Hit(Up to 7.5%) > Mastery > Haste > Crit
Sub: Agility > Exp/Hit(Up to 7.5%) > Haste > Crit > Mastery

Do you know anyone in MoX who can vouch for you?:
Tamtoe, Kalevra

Why do you want to join MoX?:
Well it seems to be a stable and friendly guild who tries to accomplish most of the time they use ingame

What type of guild are you looking for?:
A relaxed but serious raiding guild that can clear the game content given to us by Blizzard!

What are your goals in wow, what do you want to achieve and how long do you plan to keep playing?
Clear all the content!

Confirmation that you have read, understood and agree to abide by the MoX Charter (Yes/No):
Yes I have read it.

Is there anything else you feel is relevant to your application or that you would like us to know?
Well, I have always been a reliable player, showing up when I am supposed to. COnstantly trying to improve my playstyle
by theorycrafting and trying to push for that extra little bit of dps while trying not to tunnel vision too much.
During the quite long wow 'career' I have been an officer in most guilds wich usually turned out pretty well, ask Tamtoe :D
That more or less ends this application, if there is anything you would like to know feel free to ask!

Hey Gnuko,

Once again the Dutch show how it's done when it comes down to writing applications, very impressive application.
Unfortunately as I'm sure Tamtoe has already told you, we've already made our raiding setups. Right now we're assuming everyone that signed up for MoP raiding in MoX, will be 90 and ready to raid the first reset. The only time I can think of MoX having a spot open is if something unexpected were to come up and one of our Raiders is going to be unable to raid with us for whatever reason.

Even if something like that were to happen, which I'm not assuming at the moment, because all our current Raiders have a great deal of commitment to the raidteams, I'm still wondering a few things:
 - If a spot between now and the first raiding week were to open up; will you be 90, geared up, profs maxed, ready to start raiding the first reset?
 - Our raid days for both teams are Thursday, Sunday and Tuesday with invites starting 19.30. Are you able to make it every Thursday?

Sorry if I'm disappointing or discouraging you, but this is all I can say for now.

Kind regards,

/Segev

Hey kletsnat,

Thanks for the reply. Yes Tamtoe already told me about the current situation wich isn't really a problem for me to be quite honoust.
At this moment im leveling and doing my best to reach 90 as soon as possible. I was quite late in my decision to play MOP so im a bit behind but expecting to be 90 this weekend nonetheless. As far as the professions and gear go , im doing my best to be ready in time if its needed.
And raiding every thursday should not be a problem since the gym days usually are mon, wed, friday so thursday is perfect :)
I actually see that was a typo in the app :D

Hey Koen,

As I indeed mentioned to you we already made the raid teams. As I also mentioned to you is that we make room for exceptional players. I discussed your apply with Segev and want to state the following:

By knowing you for a long time and even comparing you in a way with Dakilla, I want to let you know that I accept you as a trial in Mox on great skill/thinking/social skills for the 23.00 hours raiding team. Feel free to whisper any officer ingame to start your trial asap.
